MiMod History: MiMod was created to solve several needs for the EV enthusiast. EV Instruments LLC founder was building his EV and found that there was nothing on the market that could monitor the batteries at an individual level and provide battery information from both a charging and discharging perspective. He also needed to be able to control devices in the car. Such as head lights, turn signals, door popper, open/close trunk and monitor things like the EV's motor rpm's and battery box temperature. Things that all EV enthusiast want to be able to do. He also made MiMod flexible to allow different modules to help meet the needs of others as well. MiMod can do all those things and more... Today MiMod is being used in production applications for the EV industry as well as working with the individual customers.

MiMod Battery Monitoring: MiMod uses the newest technology from small Micro PC (size: 4.5" x 4.5" x 1.5") to the MiMod Fusion Sensor Unit used primarily to monitor batteries in the EV industry. MiMod can monitor the batteries at the individual level. MiMod stores this information and can display a log of how each battery is performing within the system. You can also export this information for use later. Features like color coding (red, yellow and green) are used to show you at a glance how the batteries in EV are performing. MiMod provide also provides SOC, Pack Voltage, Amp Hours and other information as well.

MiMod Device Control & Monitor: MiMod can turn on/off relays. This means that it you use a relay to turn on or off the device in your EV or Kit Car you can use MiMod to do these things as well. Using a touch screen monitor MiMod can control items like parking lights, headlights, wipers, turn signals, doors, trunk just to name a few. Special relays like DTDP relays for actuators can also be used. MiMod can also monitor temperature sensors used to manage fans in battery boxes. EV Motor RPM's can be displayed on the screen. GPS: MiMod uses a GPS receiver to gather and display information like speed, heading, odometer to start. We can store data along with the battery information to provide positioning.
